As you know by now, you do not have full document management capabilities in the GroupWise Client on the Linux Desktop. This will limit your migration plans to start using Linux Desktops as part of your strategy to reduce costs.
X-DMS allows any user of GroupWise Document Management services to use GroupWise DMS on the SuSE Linux Desktop and Ubuntu Desktop Linux Distributions. X-DMS allows customers to provide access to their GroupWise Document Management Services on their Linux Desktop environments. Users of X-DMS can check documents in and out from a GroupWise DMS Library. Document Searches can be conducted, and access to custom fields are also possible. Users can also create or import new documents on a Linux Desktop into a GroupWise Library.
X-DMS brings full GroupWise Document Management capabilities to the Linux Desktop. X-DMS allows you to have full access to your documents stored within Novell GroupWise Document Libraries, this includes the document profile, security access list as well as the audit log. With X-DMS you can create, retrieve, search and profile your documents with GroupWise Document Libraries on the Linux Desktop. X-DMS will work with most Linux distributions including SuSE Linux Enterprise Desktop, Fedora and Ubuntu. X-DMS Web will allow full access to GroupWise Document Management Services via Novell Teaming or other web interfaces. The Linux version of X-DMS is available now.
